ED Registered Nurse Job in Taos, NM

Holy Cross Hospital - Taos is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours) with weekend coverage required and self-scheduling flexibility.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medicine care for patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage conditions ranging from minor illness to major life-threatening emergencies and trauma injuries
• Stabilize critical patients including those with cardiac, neurological, and major trauma cases for transfer to higher level of care
• Perform triage, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Maintain patient ratios of 4 patients during standard shifts and 3–4 patients on weekends

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years full-time experience in ER and/or Critical Care
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Charge nurse experience
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Ventilator management skills
• ENPC and NIHSS certifications

Work Environment:

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. One pre-approved time off request is allowed during the assignment. Blocked scheduling is not permitted.

Assignment Details:

This is a 91-day travel position beginning August 24, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,138.40.
