Physical Therapist Job in Canon City, CO

St. Thomas More Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 26-week contract assignment in their outpatient rehabilitation setting in Canon City, Colorado.

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a small community outpatient facility treating primarily orthopedic cases. Your caseload will consist of approximately 9 patients per day, with each patient receiving 45-minute one-on-one treatment sessions that include evaluation and ongoing care management.

Schedule and Environment

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Business casual dress code
• Exclusively outpatient setting

Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and deliver individualized treatment plans
• Manage patient cancellations and no-shows
• Collaborate with rehabilitation aides and physical therapist assistants
• Utilize EPIC charting system for documentation
• Work with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions

Requirements

• Valid Colorado PT license or compact license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Strong clinical skills and professional experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
• Current driver's license and willingness to work within 60 miles of the facility
• Availability to be onsite for orientation week (initial modules may be completed remotely)

Support and Orientation

You will receive department-specific orientation to familiarize you with facility protocols, patient population, and clinical workflows. The rehabilitation team, including PTAs and aides, will support your daily operations.

Contract Details

This is a 26-week assignment beginning June 22, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,306.80.
