Cath Lab Technologist Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. You'll work 4x10 hour day shifts at $3,225.60 per week, with a start date of July 27, 2026.

Role Overview

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will support diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Your responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, scrubbing, and assisting with case preparation and patient care in a fast-paced, procedure-focused environment.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of current Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Active ARRT or CCI/RCIS certification
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Travel experience within the previous 18 months
• Circulating and monitoring experience
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Structural heart experience
• Interventional radiology experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Scrubbing experience and proficiency
• Peripheral vascular experience
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months

Schedule & Expectations

You will be on-call one night per week and every third weekend from 7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday. Weekend assignments may include call schedule with assigned cases on rare occasions. You must be willing to accept call responsibilities and are required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units. You will be required to work 1–2 of the three upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.

Facility Information

The facility uses EPIC as its electronic medical record system. Documentation required includes ARRT or RCIS certificate and a skills checklist specific to Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab discipline.
