Job Details:

• Two available positions: one at 40 hours per week with various day/evening shifts, and one at 36 hours per week Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Both positions require rotating weekends
• Overnight shift hours: Thursday/Friday 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Saturday/Sunday 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Acute care setting
• 3 to 5 years of experience required
• Must be licensed in Massachusetts and hold ARRT (CT) certification
• Must be a graduate of an AMA approved educational program in Radiological Technology
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and BLS Certification
• Operate GE VCT and Evo/Evolution CT equipment
• Follow hospital protocol for exam routines and produce quality studies in an efficient and timely manner
• Properly warm up CT scanner, run QA, and bring up pressure injector, PACS units, and Meditech
• Adjust and manipulate images to required specifications including windowing, contrast, algorithm, separating exams by accession, and creating reformatted images
• Knowledge of scanners, Med Rad injector, PACS, VRC, and Powerscribe required
• Select proper scanning levels depending upon field of scan and organ selected
• Ensure all scans are properly identified anatomically with appropriate patient information including name, date, accession number, order, contrast volume, and lot number
• Complete administrative portions of procedures including tech edits, patient escort, and room preparation
• Report wet reading findings to physicians, Emergency Department, and Nursing Units
• Restore prior exams for radiologist and VRC as necessary and burn CDs for patients or ER upon request
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all work areas and stock rooms
• Perform clerical and other duties as necessary to maintain workflow and quality expectations
• Charting system: Meditech
• Trauma Level 2 facility
