Operating Room RN Job in Midland, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. This is a 112-day travel assignment starting July 27, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,436.48.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3x12-hour shifts with rotating days off
• No guaranteed days; block scheduling cannot be approved
• Call duty averaging 3–6 days per 28-day cycle
• Weekend coverage required, averaging every 4th or 5th weekend
• Some holiday work expected

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Experience in general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT procedures
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Procedural Skills and Equipment

You will manage patients across 13 rooms with a daily census of 35–40 patients, ranging from infants to geriatrics. Key procedures include general surgery, orthopedic and spine procedures, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, craniotomy, trauma cases, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, and robotic surgery systems including Da Vinci Xi and Mako. You may also work with the Mazor Robot, Mako Surgical System, and Hana Table. Additional procedures include laminectomy/discectomy, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and ENT procedures.

Safety and Compliance

You must adhere to universal protocol, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and malignant hyperthermia protocols at all times.
