Med Surg RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital Landmark in San Antonio, TX is seeking an RN for a 13-week contract position on a 23-bed Orthopedic Telemetry unit located on the 4th floor of the main building.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (7 PM–7 AM)
• Weekly pay: $1,665
• Start date: September 3, 2026
• Duration: 91 days

Your Role

You will provide post-operative care for total joint replacement, general surgery, plastics, and gynecology patients. Your patient ratio will be 5:1. Night shift staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse Coordinator, 5 RNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians to support patient care and unit operations.

Clinical Requirements and Experience

• Med-Surg telemetry experience required
• Telemetry competency required
• Orthopedic experience preferred
• BLS certification required

Equipment and Systems

You will work with telemetry monitors, lift equipment, cryotherapy units, sequential compression devices (SCDs), and bedside pulse oximeters. Documentation is completed using the Meditech EMR system.

Additional Expectations

• Float to Surgical Telemetry unit as needed
• On-call participation required during low census periods
• Variable weekend schedule required
• Dress code: Navy scrubs
