Pharmacist Job in Broken Arrow, OK

Join Cornerstone Hospital of Broken Arrow as a Pharmacist on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 5x8-hour shifts per week, including weekends, at $3,581 per week. This role offers hands-on clinical pharmacy practice in a hospital setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Compounding and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receipt of written prescriptions from physicians
• Interpreting medication orders and ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and professional pharmacy standards
• Processing a minimum of 40 orders per four-hour shift
• Generating required reports including Pick I.V. and Production reports
• Reviewing patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe drug therapy, including prevention of drug interactions and adverse reactions
• Providing pharmacokinetics dosing services, interpreting levels, modifying doses, and documenting progress notes per protocol
• Preparing IV admixtures using aseptic technique with proper container labeling
• Supervising and directing pharmacy technical support staff and verifying technician-prepared products before release
• Prioritizing STAT, Now, and Waiting orders by clinical urgency
• Calculating fluid, electrolyte, and caloric needs and monitoring patient appropriateness for formulations
• Consulting with medical staff and hospital personnel on drug information and therapy options
• Maintaining security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
• Participating in performance improvement and quality management initiatives

Requirements: Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy (BOP) license required. BLS certification through the American Heart Association required. Minimum 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
