Pharmacist Acute Care Job in Oklahoma City, OK

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for an acute care role at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 19, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Pharmacist Acute Care
• Schedule: Variable 4x10 shifts, nights
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Credential required: Registered Oklahoma Pharmacist certification
• Minimum experience: 1+ years
• Scrub color: Black

Clinical Responsibilities

• Review patient records to determine appropriateness of medication therapy
• Evaluate patient conditions to ensure all clinical issues are being treated
• Develop effective medication plans that minimize the risk of adverse side effects
• Consult with prescribers, nurses, and patients regarding medications, doses, and administration
• Assess results and outcomes of pharmaceutical treatments
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication plans and patient progress
• Routinely consult with physicians and nurses on appropriateness of orders, medication availability, side effects, incompatibilities, and formulary considerations
• Participate in the education of students and residents as necessary
• Treat medical patients with a 1:1 patient ratio

• Pharmacy automation: McKesson Automation, Omnicell Systems, POS, ScriptPro, and Baxa Systems
