Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Rehab

Job Details:

• Work in a combined Rehabilitation Medical-Surgical setting focused on patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury
• Coordinate total nursing care for patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4/5
• Average daily patient census of 22 patients
• May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
• May float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units and must be willing to float to other units as needed within scope of practice
• Participate in patient and family teaching
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice
• Every other weekend required with holidays required as needed
• 2 years of recent Med Surg Rehab experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Previous travel experience of at least 3 months required
• BSN strongly preferred
• Must have own vehicle as this is a small community without public transportation
• Block scheduling will not be considered for this need
• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
• Requested time off during the course of the assignment must be noted and verified at upload - no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• EMR: Cerner
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Vermont RN license or Compact required
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical, current within 1 year, required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
