Telemetry RN Job in Wichita, KS

Join Wesley Medical Center KS as a Telemetry RN on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, earning $1,708.20 weekly.

Role Overview

You'll provide direct patient care on the Neuro Trauma/Telemetry unit located on the 10th floor. This 36-bed unit maintains a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 and operates with a collaborative team of 7 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs per night shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on telemetry equipment and respond to cardiac changes
• Perform nursing assessments and administer patient care
• Collaborate with nursing staff and patient care technicians
• Operate Kangaroo Pumps and other specialized equipment
• Document care in the Meditech electronic medical record system
• Assist with procedures such as bubble studies and EEG monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital telemetry experience

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH certification

The unit supports a total of 70 staff members and provides a structured environment with clear expectations. Day shift staffing includes 7 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, and 1 Unit Clerk.
