Med Surg RN Job in Lancaster, SC

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical nursing at MUSC Health - Lancaster. This is a travel position requiring prior travel healthcare experience; first-time travelers are not accepted.

Schedule & Hours

• 4x12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12 schedule also considered)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Patient Care

• Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
• Adult and geriatric populations
• Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, dysrhythmia, renal failure, post-surgical care, and wound care
• May float within scope to meet facility needs

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience
• Travel experience required
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Proficiency in colostomy/ileostomy care, CVA management, feeding tube care, isolation precautions/PPE, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and pre/post hemodialysis management

Additional Requirements

• Complete all assigned modules prior to start date
• Attendance at staff meetings required
• During hurricane season (June through November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,341
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 24, 2026
