CVOR First Assist Job in Atlanta, GA

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant for a 112-day travel assignment in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). You will work a day shift schedule on a 3x12 basis, with call requirements of one day per week and one weekend every four weeks, subject to departmental needs. Weekend coverage is only required during call periods.

In this role, you will:

• Provide first assist support in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Work in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Float within the facility and to the Main OR as needed, consistent with your scope of practice
• Chart using the Epic system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• CSFA certification (NBSTSA or NCCSA also accepted)
• Demonstrated experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Heart transplant experience highly preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

Important Information:

Privileging is required prior to your start date, approximately 120 days from contract signature. A pre-application fee of $125 applies for the privileging process. You must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing your contract. Maximum 7 days of RTO (return time off) is allowed; holiday RTO is not accepted. Full compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time. Clinical screening and manager review are required as part of the onboarding process.

Assignment begins August 10, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,669.76.
