PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• No on-call responsibilities
• Every other weekend schedule required
• 2+ years of RN experience required
• Post-operative open heart care experience required
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Chest tube and other drain management experience required
• Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms required
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities required
• Experience assisting with chest tube removal and removal of pericardial pacing wires required
• Experience with management of temporary pacers including pericardial and transcutaneous devices required
• Proficiency with non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems required
• Must be willing to float to all units within skill level
• Active Ohio RN or Compact license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to PCU specialty required
