ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3 shifts per week on 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental level when providing care
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints
• Collect objective and subjective patient data and verify initial admission assessments
• Develop prioritized problem lists and care plans in coordination with the inter-professional team
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Identify and address educational needs of patients based on level of comprehension
• Facilitate patient discharge process including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including monitoring of patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through professional nursing practice
• Apply evidence-based practice and current research to ensure nursing excellence
