Operating Room RN Job in Jacksonville, NC

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at UNC Health Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,390.40
• On-call requirement includes nights, weekends, and holidays (typically 1 night per week)
• 2–3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Clinical Responsibilities

You will assess each patient immediately upon admission to the OR, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and discharge planning factors. You will develop individualized nursing care plans for the intraoperative setting and reassess patients on an ongoing basis. You will treat patients across all age groups, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, and work with a wide range of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, robotic, and minimally invasive surgeries.

Unit Details

• 4 operating rooms on unit
• Staffing ratio of 1:1
• Interdisciplinary support available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams

Requirements

• Current RN license
• 3 years of main hospital OR experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Charting system experience (Meditech system used at this facility)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Proficiency with Da Vinci Robotics systems and Mazor Robot preferred
