CVOR Technologist Job in Richmond, VA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) at CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with weekly pay of $2,020. Your start date is September 7, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiac cases requiring cardiopulmonary bypass and mediastinal procedures
• Support thoracic surgery cases including daVinci-assisted procedures and open thoracotomy
• Assist with VATS, ECMO initiation, and pericardial window procedures
• Participate in cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement, and aortic dissection repair
• Support TAVR procedures and daVinci-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based surgical technologist experience
• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• New Hampshire state license or compact license at submission
• Ability to accept call assignments as needed

Schedule and Call Details

Regular unit hours are 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Call duty begins at 3:00 PM when assigned. Weekend call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday assignments as scheduled. You must be available and able to respond to call-in requirements.
