CVOR Technologist Job in Salem, VA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Lewisgale Medical Center VA in Salem. This is a day shift position running 5x8 hours, with a start date of September 14, 2026, for a 91-day contract.

Role and Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in a 2-suite CVOR with 1:1 patient ratios
• Assist with procedures including CABG, thoracotomy, endovascular AAA repair, valve replacement, and pacemaker placement
• Work alongside a team of 3 RNs and 3 CSTs
• May float to the main OR when needed
• Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
• Use Meditech EMR system for documentation

Requirements

• CVOR experience is required; candidates without this specialty experience will not be considered
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Flexibility, strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, and self-directed work style
