ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Trauma ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 32-bed Trauma ICU with a 1:2/3 patient ratio
• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 16 nurses, and 1 department assistant
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 16 nurses, and 1 department assistant
• Work every other weekend with potential on-call placement if in overtime
• Dress code requires navy scrubs
• Perform and assist with procedures including intubations, lumbar punctures, bolt placement with ventriculostomy, cooling, colonoscopy, EGD, and chest tube insertion
• Operate equipment including Hoyer lift, Belmont rapid transfuser, and Arctic Sun
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Must have prior trauma center experience
• Must demonstrate strong customer service skills with patients and families, empathy, and adaptability in a busy environment
• Neuro and burn experience preferred
• Float to Trauma Stepdown, other ICUs, and one of four stepdown units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
