PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Position is part of the float pool
• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics including age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods such as bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team environment
• Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, staff, or students
• Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance
• Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum
• Preferred experience includes hemodynamic monitoring, vasopressor management, ventilator knowledge, CRRT, and at least 1 year of ICU experience
• Must possess strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive and composed manner
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or Red Cross) and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• Must pass dysrhythmia test
• Active Georgia RN license or compact license required
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's preferred)
