PCU Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

Grady Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 12-hour night shift position on a medical step-down unit with an 89-day contract starting June 15, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide intermediate-level nursing care to patients transitioning between intensive care and general medical/surgical units. Working with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, you will manage a 16–20 bed unit and deliver progressive care monitoring and treatment for patients with complex medical conditions.

Patient Populations

Your patients may present with:

• Sepsis and infectious conditions
• Heart failure and hypertensive emergencies
• Respiratory failure and COPD
• Chronic kidney disease
• Type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Substance abuse
• Status epilepticus and encephalopathy

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification

Compensation & Schedule

You will work 12-hour night shifts on a flexible contract basis (36 or 48-hour weekly options available). Weekly pay is $2,463.66.
