PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC Inpatient

Job Details:

• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Position is part of the float pool
• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods including bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication methods
• Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance
• Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, vasopressor management, ventilator knowledge, and CRRT preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
• Associates, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Active Georgia RN license or compact license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must pass dysrhythmia test
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills required
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
• Excellent time management and critical thinking skills required
• Basic computer skills and ability to optimize use of technology to support clinical care required
