Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (may change based on need)
• Floating required to like units based on skill set as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience in orthopedics specialty required
• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Active Tennessee RN license or multistate license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratio experience of 6 patients
• Unit census of 15-20 patients with 30 beds
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Skills required include blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, med/surg, and total joint replacement
• Skills preferred include accessing and managing ports, bariatric surgery, bowel obstruction, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management and care, feeding tube care and management, ortho trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, PICC line management, and short stay 23-hour stay unit
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
