Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Rolla, MO

Join Vertical Health Services - Aurora Health and Rehabilitation in Rolla, MO as a Physical Therapist Assistant. This is a 91-day temporary position working days, Monday through Friday, with five 8-hour shifts per week. You will earn $1,715 weekly.

Your Role

You will work directly alongside the Physical Therapist to deliver patient care across all age groups. Your responsibilities include:

• Implement components of patient care and obtain data related to treatments provided
• Assist in treating individuals from newborns to end-of-life patients
• Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups
• Teach patients techniques such as balance training
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify care plans as necessary
• Assist with moving patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area
• Communicate with patients' families to identify best at-home care techniques
• Keep the physical therapy area clean and organized
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
• Read and follow instructions provided by the Physical Therapist

Requirements

• Active PTA license
• Missouri state license required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• BLS certification required
