ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume Emergency Department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required, no block scheduling available
• Must be flexible to float to all sections within the ED, no floating outside of the ED
• Utilize Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards, respectful behavior protocols, and keep patient boards updated throughout visits
• Wear navy scrubs as required uniform
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year of ER experience
• Previous experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback required
• Must have flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
