ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of October 5, 2026. You'll work the night shift—6:45 PM to 7:15 AM—on a 3x12 schedule, earning $2,179 per week.

About the Role

The Emergency Department is high-volume with 101 beds. You'll manage patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds. You must be flexible to float to all sections within the ED, though you will not float outside the department. Every other weekend scheduling is required; block scheduling is not available.

Clinical Environment

• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Collaborate with techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on all shifts
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards and respect-based care protocols
• Keep patient boards updated throughout patient visits
• Wear navy scrubs as your required uniform

Requirements

You must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting. Prior experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 annual visits is preferred.

Required certifications at hire: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS. ENPC certification must be completed within 90 days of hire.
