Telemetry RN Job in Maryville, TN

Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 28-bed Telemetry unit in Maryville, Tennessee. This is a step-down unit from the ICU serving adult patients with higher acuity needs.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio: 6:1
• Every other weekend coverage required; may change based on census needs
• Floating to other Med Surg units may be required based on census
• No on-call required
• Contract duration: 91 days (13 or 26 week options available)
• Weekly pay: $1,944

Clinical Focus

You will care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring including those with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization status. The unit does not manage ventilators or pressor support. Common patient diagnoses and drips include heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation.

• Peritoneal dialysis equipment experience

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR experience
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Current Tennessee nursing license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
