Job Details:

• 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required as needed based on department needs
• On-call required as needed based on department needs
• Minimum 2 years of Level I Trauma Operating Room experience required (Hard Stop)
• Teaching hospital experience required
• 4 years of Operating Room experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate across multiple service lines (Hard Stop)
• Strong general OR and trauma experience required
• Must be comfortable working across multiple surgical service lines including General, Robotics, Trauma, Bariatric, Colorectal, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, Pediatrics, Neuro, Orthopedics, Burns, Plastics, ENT, Dental/Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Thoracic, Vascular, and Transplant
• Required trauma experience includes amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, and multiple-injury MVA cases
• General Surgery experience includes appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomy, and thyroidectomy
• Neuro experience includes cervical fusion, craniotomy, and laminectomy/discectomy
• Orthopedic experience includes Ortho/Spine and scrubbing orthopedic procedures
• Robotic surgical experience required
• Vascular and endovascular procedure experience strongly preferred
• Patient population includes neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Required equipment experience includes electrosurgical units, fiber-optic light sources/cords, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol/time-out procedures, and urinary bladder catheterization
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, CNOR
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract; RTO must be approved prior to start
