Operating Room RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This 91-day travel assignment runs from November 16, 2026, and offers a 4x10 day shift schedule at $3,010 weekly.

Position Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, block scheduling
• 13 weekend shifts required per contract
• 40 orientation hours required
• No on-call or holiday requirements

Scope of Work

You will work across 32 operating rooms, floating among Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, and the Honickman Center. You must be able to scrub and circulate, with scrub experience as a non-negotiable requirement. Cases include cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomies, spinal procedures, and orthopedic fractures. You will care for patients of all age groups—infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years operating room experience
• Level I Trauma certification and experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in craniotomy, general OR, orthopedic/spine surgery, neurology scrub cases, and total joint replacement
• Current BLS certification
• Trauma Level I course and certificate

What You'll Experience

First-time travelers with appropriate qualifications are welcome. The facility uses Epic for charting and provides scrubs. You will have the opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma center with a high acuity caseload and exposure to multiple surgical specialties.
