Operating Room RN Job in Pittsburgh, PA

Join Allegheny General Hospital as an Operating Room RN on a 92-day travel assignment. You'll work 4x10 evening shifts in a Level 1 Trauma facility that values experienced perioperative nurses.

Role Overview

You'll support surgical teams across multiple specialties in a fast-paced OR environment. RNs are not required to scrub, allowing flexibility in your perioperative role. Navy blue scrubs are required.

Schedule and Expectations

• 4x10 evening shifts (36 hours per week outside orientation)
• 12-hour rotating shifts covering days, evenings, and nights
• Call and weekend requirements with 30-minute response time
• Weekends include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
• Weekday or weekend call coverage
• In-house call rooms available when needed
• No block scheduling

Qualifications Required

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience within the last 3 years (3 years strongly preferred)
• Level 1 Trauma experience required (at least 1 year out of the last 3)
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Strong proficiency (level 3 or 4) in: General, Orthopedics, Neurology, Vascular, Trauma, Robotics (DaVinci—Cardiac and drive machine), and Transplant
