Operating Room RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will work 40 hours per week on a 4x10 schedule combining 2x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) and 2x8-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM). On-call duties are required, including approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations throughout your contract. Weekend call rotations are part of your commitment; there is no regular weekend shift requirement.

Role Requirements:

• 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Strong general OR experience across multiple surgical specialties
• Experience with high-acuity and trauma surgical cases
• Pennsylvania RN license and current BLS and TNCC certifications required

Surgical Experience Needed:

• General surgery: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, thyroidectomy, Whipple procedures
• Neuro cases: spinal fusion, cervical and lumbar procedures, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy
• Orthopedic: total hip and knee replacements, fracture procedures, spine cases
• Vascular: carotid procedures, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, abdominal aortic aneurysm procedures
• Total joint, neuro, transplant, and vascular surgery experience

You will serve adult and geriatric patient populations in a 14-room operating suite supporting a broad range of surgical services. Floating within your scope to meet facility needs is required. The facility uses Cerner for charting and provides scrubs.
