ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• 6 weekends required per schedule period
• 3 winter holidays required
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Self-scheduling available
• Floating requirements apply
• 12-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) serving Medical/Surgical ICU patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Titrate drips including sedation and cardiac medications
• Work with respiratory equipment including ventilators and BiPAP when RT is not present
• Read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently
• Charge nurse present on each shift and does not take a patient assignment
• Hospitalist and Intensivist in-house 24/7
• Respiratory therapy located on the same floor
• Charting via EPIC
• Royal blue scrubs required
• 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
