Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 4x12-hour shifts may be available upon inquiry
• Every other weekend is required
• Every other winter and summer holiday is required
• No time off on hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and similar holidays
• Call outs may result in immediate contract cancellation
• Block scheduling is not available
• Travelers may float to IMC based on facility needs with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Travelers may also float within appropriate critical-care areas based on scope and competency
• ICU patient ratio is 1:2; ratio may be 1:3 if an ICU patient is downgraded and awaiting an available bed
• Care for Medical, Surgical, Coronary Care, Neuro, and Trauma patients in a 29-bed non-aggregated ICU
• Average daily census of approximately 26 patients
• Specialize in high-risk Neuro and Trauma interventions
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Experience with IABP, CRRT, EVD, and Arctic Sun/Cooling blanket management required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
• Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration experience required
• Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU experience required
• 2 years of Critical Care experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TCRN or equivalent trauma education, and Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG assessment
• Candidates may complete the Maryland-approved "Insult to Result" trauma course to meet the trauma education requirement
• A passing Advanced EKG score is required before proceeding with the contract
