Physical Therapist Job in Salem, VA

You'll work as a Licensed Physical Therapist in an inpatient rehabilitation setting at Lewisgale Medical Center VA. This is a travel position offering 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, running for 91 days beginning October 26, 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 4–5 patients per therapist
• Utilize specialized rehabilitation equipment including C-Mill, FES bike, BITs, NMES, and Excite systems
• Document patient progress and treatment plans using the Medi-tech documentation system
• Collaborate with a supportive unit team that includes 1–2 technicians and an administrative assistant

What We're Looking For

• Current license as a Physical Therapist
• Training or experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred

Work Environment

• No floating policy—you remain in your assigned unit
• Dress code: scrubs required; navy and maroon colors are not permitted
• Collaborative team environment with dedicated support staff

Compensation & Details
