NICU RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

You will work as an RN in a 32-bed NICU at Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. This is a night shift position (7 PM–7 AM) on a three-times-weekly, 12-hour schedule. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, starting August 31, 2026.

Your Role

You will provide care for neonates ranging from 23 to 40+ weeks gestation. Your night shift team includes one charge nurse and a unit clerk. Patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:3. You will perform clinical procedures including intubations, assist with eye exams, insert feeding tubes and IVs, and manage ventilated patients. You may float to the Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery as needed. You are expected to work 3–4 weekends per month; there are no on-call responsibilities.

Equipment and Systems

You will work with ventilators, oscillators, and Vapotherm equipment. The unit uses Centricity Perinatal and Meditech EMR systems for documentation.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Ventilator experience required
• Experience with 23–40+ week gestation infants required
• Ventilator and oscillator experience preferred
• CPN charting experience preferred
• Current CPR and NRP certifications required

Compensation and Details

Weekly pay is $1,839.60. You will wear royal blue scrubs. This is a 91-day contract assignment.
