PCU RN Job in Longview, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a travel position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center Longview. This is a full-time role working three 12-hour day shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, for a 91-day assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to patients with varying diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities
• Practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Apply the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas or compact license
• 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
