PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

United Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in their Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You'll work a 3x12 night shift schedule at a weekly rate of $2,415.

This role primarily supports Medical-Surgical patients with required floating between Med-Surg and PCU units. You'll care for adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including medical-surgical and PCU overflow. Patient ratios are 6 patients per nurse during nights.

Schedule & Hours:

• 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• 36/48-hour alternating schedule required
• Weekends required as needed, which may include most weekends during the contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated; set schedules cannot be approved

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Travel experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Required Skills:

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Central line care and management
• Blood product administration
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Heparin and IV insulin protocols
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Titration of insulin drips
• Thrombolytic agent administration
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Wound care and wound vac management

Interdisciplinary support is available through physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
