PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

United Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel position offering a competitive weekly pay of $2,415.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
• Patient ratio: 1:4, occasionally 1:5
• Biweekly hours: 84 with a 72-hour guarantee
• Minimum 18 weekend shifts per contract
• Unit: 15-bed Neuro PCU serving adult and geriatric populations

Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a specialized neurological stepdown setting. Duties include cardiac telemetry monitoring, central line care and management, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips with titration, tracheostomy care, traumatic brain injury management, seizure disorder management, and wound care including wound vac. You will utilize rapid response and code teams as needed. Float coverage is required divisionally for overflow and ED holds.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; travel experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Important Notes

• You must be able to work 2–3 holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
