Special Procedures Technologist in Baton Rouge, LA

You will work as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab departments at Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026.

Schedule and Responsibilities

• Work standard procedure hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for earlier or later procedures as needed
• Call responsibilities divided equally among team members: typically two nights per week and every other weekend
• Respond to department within 30 minutes when on call
• Weekend call coverage from close of business Friday through department opening Monday morning
• Float between Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab as needed
• Seven weekend shifts required over the contract duration

Clinical Details

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient ratio of 2 patients during day shifts
• Daily census of approximately 5 patients with 5 visits per day
• Comfortable with Emergency Team assignments during emergency events

Requirements and Experience

• 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Travel experience required—first time travelers not accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and Louisiana State License
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must maintain distance of over 65 miles from facility address to driver's license address

Onboarding

• 24 hours of orientation provided

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,840 for 5x8 day shifts
