Med Surg RN Job in Atlanta, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a high-acuity Medical/Surgical floor with a Surgery Trauma unit at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a 96-week travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts
• $1,896 weekly pay
• No block schedules; you work assigned shifts as scheduled

Your Patient Population & Ratios

You'll care for surgical patients, including those with trauma injuries, gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia. Patient ratio is 5:1, and you'll have support from nursing support technicians and phlebotomists available on the unit. A unit secretary is present during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity surgical floor
• Participate in ED nurse and admitting unit handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Work mandatory holiday coverage—you must work either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving, and either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• No time-off requests (RTO) are accepted during your assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Current RN license
