Med Surg RN Job in Hazleton, PA

LVH - Hazleton is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical nursing on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work the night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 3x12 schedule, with every other weekend and every other holiday required. There are no on-call responsibilities.

In this role, you will care for adult and geriatric patients across Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed. Your patient ratio is 1:5, and you will manage a daily census of 10–14 patients. You will be responsible for acute inpatient rehab care, blood glucose monitoring, port care and management, blood product administration, anticoagulation therapy, central line care including PICC lines, wound care, Foley catheter removal, IV insertion and maintenance, venous blood draws, feeding tube care and management, tracheostomy care and management, and pain assessment and management.

Requirements:

• Current PA or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are accepted
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Charge experience preferred

Assignment details: Start date is September 14, 2026. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. A local rate differential applies. Weekly pay is $2,097.
