Med Surg RN Job in Uniontown, PA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in Med Surg at WVU Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 29, 2026.

Schedule and Hours

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; both Saturday and Sunday count as weekend shifts
• 2 Fridays per schedule rotation
• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules permitted as long as unit needs are met
• Client may cancel up to 1 shift during this assignment

Compensation

• $2,229.12 weekly

Your Role

You'll care for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and chemotherapy patients. Patient ratio is 1:6–7. You may be assigned to both clean and dirty patient hallways simultaneously and must be comfortable managing this workload. You'll float only to other Med Surg units.

Clinical Details

• One shift orientation with a preceptor
• Remote telemetry patients monitored by a monitor tech on the 3rd floor; no monitors on the unit
• Administer Heparin and comfort measures such as MSO4; no cardiac drips
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy on Bipap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Charting via Cerner

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Navy blue scrubs required; any jackets worn must also be navy blue

You'll work as a core member of the Med Surg team, delivering direct patient care in a community hospital setting.
