Telemetry RN Job in Ionia, MI

Sparrow Ionia Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, offering $2,125.44 weekly.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; sometimes every third weekend
• Block scheduling available
• No floating required at this time

Patient Population and Unit Details

• Adult to geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, orthopedic conditions, cerebral palsy, pneumonia, and COPD
• Patient ratios: 1:4 days, 1:5 nights and weekends
• No ventilators on unit; insulin drips and Cardizem drips administered
• Free parking on site

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA preferred)
• Pyxis experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Core Competencies

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV therapy: starting and maintaining IVs, PICC line management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols
• Cardiac drip management and titration of insulin drips
• Blood product administration
• Chest tube and feeding tube care and management
• Airway management: non-invasive techniques, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, nasal cannula
• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Use of rapid response and code teams
• Total joint replacement care

Support and Resources

• Interdisciplinary support available: physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Hunter Green scrubs
