PICU RN Job in Cincinnati, OH

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). This is a night shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week for 91 days, starting November 9, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PICU with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Float as needed within the PICU and to the cardiac ICU (CICU) when census requires
• Care for infants, pediatric patients, and adolescents
• Use Epic charting system
• Travelers are first notified of floating assignments at shift start when census drops

Scheduling and Time Off

• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Block scheduling available for weekends only (Friday through Sunday)
• Minimum of 2 holidays required per contract
• RTO requests up to 5 days maximum must be submitted at application time
• Candidates may float to the hospital's Liberty campus as needed

Requirements

• 2 years of PICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with 2 years specialty experience
• Exposure to CICU preferred
• Valid Ohio single-state or multi-state compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Supervisor reference from within the past 2 years
• Copy of all nursing certifications required in submission profile

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,592.
