Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will provide direct nursing care for medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 6-month travel assignment with a start date of August 10, 2026.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Telemetry
• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Duration: 182 days
• Weekly pay: $2,029

Your Responsibilities:

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alarms
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, treatment, and medication administration
• Document all care provided and maintain accurate patient records
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain current competency in telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing practices

You will work in a fast-paced telemetry environment caring for patients with varying acuity levels. Your ability to respond quickly to cardiac changes and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team will be essential. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
