About this role
You will work as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist at IU Health Methodist Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026.
Schedule and Compensation
- 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Call requirement of 90–120 hours within each 6-week schedule
- Weekly pay: $2,047.68
Role Expectations
You will prepare and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for complex cardiac and thoracic procedures. You will receive perfusion lines and prep them for cannulation, work alongside the surgical team during vascular and thoracic cases, and assist with advanced procedures including heart and lung transplants, valve replacements, aortic dissections, CABG, TAVR, VAD, and endovascular repairs. You will care for patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of surgical technologist experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Demonstrated experience in vascular and thoracic surgery
- Experience with complex cardiac procedures as listed above
- Current BCLS and NBSTSA certification
- Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted with Level 1 Trauma background
- Willingness to float within IU Health Methodist Hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- 2 supervisor references required
