Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Perform surgical technologist duties in a CVOR setting with cardiovascular, heart, and lung transplant cases
• Shift options include 8 and 10 hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, 3 x 12 hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or 4 x 12 hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• On-call required with approximately 110 on-call hours
• 1 full weekend required within a 6 week call schedule
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Core case experience required: must have 3 out of 4 of the following - CV, heart and lung transplant, and endovascular procedures
• Skills required include but are not limited to: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), CVOR, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), TEVAR, TAVR, VATS, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Mitral valve replacement, Carotid Endarterectomy, Lung resection, and Aortic Aneurysm repair
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Scrubs provided
• Parking is free
• Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals is required
• Block scheduling available to be discussed
• Local candidates accepted
• Indiana state license not required; NBSTA certification must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTA
