ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required with the option to work every weekend
• Holiday shifts required
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
• Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and one of the following trauma certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course), ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses), or TCRN (Trauma Certification Registered Nurse)
• Work in a busy emergency room within a rural critical access hospital averaging 30 patients per day
• Level IV trauma center experience applicable
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tube insertion and management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, identifying and reporting neglect or abuse, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, neuro-trauma, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, ortho trauma, phlebotomy, spinal cord injury care, starting and maintaining IVs, traumatic brain injury care, and triage
