ED RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

Temple University Hospital is seeking an RN for a 90-day travel assignment in the Emergency Department. You will provide inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the ED while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed.

Role Overview

• Care for admitted boarder patients located within the Emergency Department, not regular ED patient assignments
• Manage a patient ratio of up to 4:1
• Administer IV medications, monitor telemetry, provide post-procedural care, and address general inpatient medical-surgical needs
• Work independently in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to patient safety and quality care

Schedule & Duration

• 3x12-hour night shifts, Sunday night through Thursday night
• 90-day assignment starting October 26, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,418

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Recent inpatient medical-surgical experience required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to work independently with strong inpatient clinical skills

Additional Information

You may be required to temporarily provide care in another unit within your clinical competency if departmental or organizational needs change. Virtual interviewing is utilized for this position.
