ED RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

Temple University Hospital is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department to provide inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed. This 90-day travel assignment begins October 26, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 nights (Sunday night through Thursday night)
• 12-hour shifts with scheduling based on coverage needs
• Weekly pay: $2,670

Role Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ED boarder patients, including those with critical care needs
• Manage patient assignments up to 2:1 ratio within the ED boarder care model
• Care for patients requiring ventilators, vasoactive infusions, and other high-acuity interventions
• Maintain assignment within the boarder care model; not expected to take regular ED patient assignments
• Work independently in a dynamic environment while demonstrating flexibility and clear communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Temporarily provide care in other units if departmental or organizational needs require, within your clinical competency

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Recent critical care experience required
• Competency with ventilators, drips, and high-acuity patient care
• Strong inpatient clinical skills and ability to work independently
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
