Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts available on both day (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) schedules
• Weekend shift focus with every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday for both days and nights)
• Work within a float pool covering multiple units including 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), and Critical Care (20 beds)
• Report to clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start time for unit assignment
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 on most units for both days and nights, with potential for up to 7 patients toward end of shift depending on acuity
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic conditions, and oncology
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips using Phillips monitoring systems; most units have monitor techs available
• Will not be required to titrate drips
• CPAP and BiPap present on units, managed by respiratory therapy
• CNAs available on all units
• Charge nurse available on every unit; day charge does not take patients, night charge does take patients
• Must complete and pass a cardiac rhythm exam prior to starting
• Work in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• 1-2 orientation shifts provided with a preceptor
• Charting system: EPIC
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must provide a copy of unexpired driver's license with submission
• 50-mile radius rule applies
