Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts required as needed to fill staffing needs
• Holiday rotation participation required
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4
• BSN required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Chemo or BMT experience required; chemo certification required to administer chemotherapy
• Minimum 1 year of oncology experience accepted; general med/surg nurses must have minimum 2 years of experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Common patient diagnoses include BMT, oncology, GYN oncology surgeries, hospice, and general med/surg cases
• Must be able to respond appropriately to life-threatening rhythms as tele techs are on the unit
• RT equipment includes CPAP and High Flow
• Pain medication drips and PCAs are common on the unit
• CNAs available on unit at a 1:8 ratio; charge nurse staffed each shift and does not take patients
• 2 days of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor provided
• Travelers are first to float to similar med/surg units and may be asked to float to sister facilities in Meridian or Nampa
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrubs: Any color; no hoods permitted
